Your Grandmother’s Couch

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!

Allow me introduce you all to one of my favorite vintage dresses…

I thrifted this dress at Goodwill and, even though I love everything about it, it took me weeks to actually wear it.  Does that ever happen to you? As if you’re trying to save a particular outfit for a special occasion and then you realize that special occasions don’t really come around all that often?I love the kitschy floral pattern and the colors of this dress are my favorite of anything I own.  The scalloped neckline and the great length are just a couple of bright red cherries on top.  I went with black heels and tights since it is January but I think this dress will be really versatile and good for all seasons…Dress – thrifted at Goodwill

Cardigan – thrifted at Salvation Army

Belt – thrifted at Goodwill

Black tights – Target

Black platform heels – Payless Shoe Source

Now that I think of it, I have quite a few dresses that I never wear….maybe 2012 will be the year I *FINALLY* start dressing like a lady…

Naaahhhh :)

  1. I love this dress and it looks perfect on you! I know what you mean about special occasions not coming around so often, so I’ve tried to start wearing special stuff whenever the mood strikes :)
